My Testimony
I want to use this space to tell about what has made me who I am today. First of
all, I want to thank God for allowing me to be here today. I should have died....let me rephrase that....I should have
STAYED dead when a core machine crushed me in 1999. I was crushed inside the machine, my back was broken in several
places, my skull was crushed, my ribs were broken, and my lungs were punctured. My family was told by the doctors that
I would not live. They were told that the damage was just too severe, and I was not going to make it. Thankfully,
there were alot of people who prayed for me that night and for the weeks after the accident. Had it not been for
those prayers, I would not be here today. I should be dead, and I know it. With that in mind, I want to let it be known that I AM alive and well, I AM walking around just
fine, and I AM able to enjoy being with my wife and kids.
The doctors said it wasn't possible, but God said it was. The doctors said I wouldnt walk again, but God said I would. The doctors
said I was going to die, but God said I was to live.
I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins, and he rose again. I believe
that if you have sinned, God will forgive you. All you have to do is ask it, believe it, and live it. If you want
to be saved and have your sins washed away, all you have to do is pray this prayer:
“Heavenly Father, I know that I have broken your
laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward
you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected
from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart
from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus'
name I pray, Amen.”
I believe that God has a plan for all of us in this life. Some of us are meant to
be teachers, some of us are meant to be preachers, and some of us are simply meant to be there to help out. Everything
you do identifies who you are. Do right by others, and help people when you can. Give to others when you can,
and that doesn't always mean money. I think that my photography is my way to give back to this world, since I was given
a second chance. I hope that I will be able to capture positive moments in the lives of the people I take pictures of,
and help them remember what it took to get there. Never take what you have for granted, because it can be gone in the
blink of an eye.
While being in a church doesn't make you a christian any more than being in a garage makes you a car, church IS important. Surround yourself with people who can help you along your way. Surround yourself with people who will help you learn as a young christian. My greatest hope is to one day make it to heaven, and to see every one of you there.
